“There is a beautiful scenic drive off the main highway in southern BC near Princeton. This old highway parallels the north side of the Similkameen River. This homestead, still occupied, has been one of my favourite sites. I have sketched it several times. It has such a perfect composition with the juxtaposition of the straight lines of the cabin and the fence with the rolling curved lines of the landscape. One cannot help but think of the history and the stories contained in this picturesque cabin”.
